ANDREA G. DITTMANN

I study how inequality shapes interpersonal and relational processes in workplaces and communities.

In particular, my research develops theory on how people differentially interpret others’ motives, build trust, and navigate collaboration and relationships as a function of the contexts and roles they occupy in societal and organizational hierarchies. Based on these insights, I then examine how interactional and institutional features can be redesigned to disrupt these dynamics and reduce inequality.

I am an Assistant Professor of Management & Organization at the USC Marshall School of Business.

I received my Ph.D. at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
